This long green vegetable is a welcome taste in soups and though an acquired taste for some, it is a favourite among senior citizens in Scotland.

  • British Seasonal Chart – Coming into season during August and out during March.
  • Greener Scotland Calendar – Coming into season October and out during April. There is an anomaly, in that, the chart show leek to be in season during August but skip September before back in season during October.
